About this site, and how we check things

ParkingInEurope is written and maintained by skynomad, who lives in Arnhem in the Netherlands and drives more than 30,000 km a year across Europe. It is published by Jun Li. It answers the three questions a driver actually has when arriving in an old European city: where can I leave the car without being robbed by a meter, what do I do if it disappears, and where can I plug it in. Then it tells you where to eat.

How a page is built

Research first, writing second. Every price, phone number, address, opening time, fine and zone boundary comes from an official source — the city, the police, the transport authority, or the operator that runs the car park — or from two independent sources when no official page exists. Those sources are listed at the bottom of every city page and every zone page, with links, so you can check us.

We use AI tools to research and draft. That does not change the rule that decides what goes on the page: if we cannot verify a number, it does not appear. Where a city publishes no tariff, no pound address or no phone line, the page says exactly that instead of filling the gap with something plausible.

What we will not print

• A phone number or address we could not find on an official page.
• A price we saw on a forum, a content farm or an AI answer.
• "Free parking" at a hotel unless the hotel's own website says so.
• Fabricated visitor counts, reviews or ratings.

How current it is

Every city page carries a "checked" date, and so does every entry in the low-emission zone tables. Prices, fines and ZTL hours move, so we re-check the tow phone numbers, fines and parking tariffs about every six months, and sooner for anything with a published change date. How the site makes money

Ads from Google AdSense, shown after the answer rather than before it, and never on the privacy page. Nobody pays to be listed, recommended or left out of the "tourist traps" section. Some pages also carry a partner link — at the moment one, to the car-hire comparison site DiscoverCars. If you book through it we get a commission. Every such link is labelled "Partner link" on the page, sits after the answer, and has no say in what we write: no partner decides which car park, city or price we recommend.

Corrections and complaints

Email contact@parkingineurope.com. Tell us the page, the line, and what the official source says. Corrections go in within days, and the "checked" date moves with them.
